Who do you work with?
Ameribel Ledger primarily works with small contractors, construction-related businesses, and home-service companies, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, remodeling, roofing, landscaping, and specialty trades.
What size businesses are the best fit?
Our initial focus is owner-operated businesses that have outgrown DIY bookkeeping but do not need a full-time accounting employee. Many ideal clients have a small team and use QuickBooks to manage the financial side of the business.
Do you work with QuickBooks Online?
Yes. QuickBooks is central to our contractor bookkeeping services. We can discuss your current setup during the consultation and determine whether your file needs cleanup before ongoing bookkeeping begins.
Can you clean up books that are behind?
Yes. QuickBooks cleanup is a primary service within our Services page. We first assess the condition of the books, then define the cleanup scope and priorities.
Can you help with job costing?
Yes, within the capabilities of your bookkeeping setup and available data. We can help organize income and direct costs by customer or project so you have better visibility into project performance.
Do you handle accounts payable and accounts receivable?
We can include AP/AR support depending on the service package and the systems your business uses. Exact responsibilities are agreed upon during onboarding.
Do you prepare tax returns?
Ameribel Ledger’s launch focus is bookkeeping and financial support, not tax-return preparation. We can keep your books organized and CPA-ready and work alongside your tax professional.
Do you provide payroll?
Payroll support can include bookkeeping coordination and payroll-related recordkeeping. If payroll processing itself is needed, the exact solution and responsibilities will be discussed during the consultation.
Do you provide advanced commercial construction accounting?
Our launch focus is small contractors and home-service businesses. Complex services such as AIA billing, certified payroll, bonding reporting, percentage-of-completion accounting, and advanced commercial WIP accounting are not presented as standard services unless specifically agreed upon.
How much does bookkeeping cost?
Monthly packages start at $449 for Contractor Essentials, $749 for Contractor Growth, and $1,199 for Contractor Pro. QuickBooks Cleanup and Catch-Up starts at $750. Final pricing depends on transaction volume, number of accounts and projects, current condition of the books, payroll activity, and the level of support needed. See our packages.
Do you work only with businesses in Pennsylvania?
No. Ameribel Ledger is launching with a strong focus on York, Lancaster, Harrisburg, Mechanicsburg, and surrounding Central Pennsylvania, while also being able to support appropriate remote clients elsewhere in the United States.
What happens after I contact you?
We schedule a discovery conversation, learn about your business and current bookkeeping situation, and determine the best next step. That may be a QuickBooks cleanup, ongoing monthly bookkeeping, or another defined bookkeeping service.
